Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The BLBI Task Force has sent a subpoena to two BLBI obligors/debtors. The two are Kaharudin Ongko and Agus Anwar who have never fulfilled their summons and fulfilled their obligations to the state.
“The task force has also issued a subpoena to obligors Kaharudin Ongko and Agus Anwar to immediately carry out their obligations,” said Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md during a press conference, Monday (11/22/2021).
According to him, if after giving the subpoena the two still do not show good faith, then the government will take legal action. Therefore, he hopes that both of them can deliver their debt payments.
“If the BLBI task force is not heeded, it will take legal steps to ensure that the state’s rights are fulfilled by the obligor in question,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Kaharudin Ongko has a total debt of Rp. 8.61 trillion, or to be precise, Rp. 8,611,078,935,170. This includes taking into account the administration fee of 10%. This debt stems from the 1997-1998 crisis and currently serves as Vice President Commissioner of PT Bank Umum Nasional (BUN).
Previously, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati had withdrawn money from Kaharudin’s escrow account, from two different accounts worth Rp 664,974,593 and US$ 7.63 million, equivalent to Rp 109.58 billion. So that in total the funds that have been confiscated by the government amounted to Rp 110.24 billion.
Meanwhile, Agus Anwar has a BLBI debt of Rp. 104,630,769,050,29. The debt consists of PKPS Bank Pelita Istismarat, guarantor for the settlement of debtor obligations of PT Panca Muspan and PT Bumisuri Adilestari.
