Disney’s New Animated Film “Star Wish” Releases Chinese Theme Song Sung by Jane Zhang

On November 9, Disney’s new animated film “Star Wish” released the Chinese theme song of the same name, which was sung by Jane Zhang. Global multi-language versions of the film’s original songs are being released one after another.

On November 9, Jane Zhang promoted the Chinese theme song of “Star Wishes” and said: “This song is so difficult that I got sick singing it. After recording and singing, I still can’t get over it for a long time. What should I do? I’m so worried! It seems like The only way I can cure my princess disease is by going to Disney again.”

In the theme song, Jane Zhang’s moving voice and evocative lyrics lead the audience into the starlit Magic Kingdom and the inner world of the 17-year-old courageous girl Asha. Accompanied by the ever-changing melody and Zhang Liangying’s affectionate performance, the heroine’s determination to always be loyal to her inner choice when facing the unknown journey is deeply portrayed. The magical prayers under the protection of the stars and the heartwarming lyrics of “a heart illuminated by love” can’t help but remind people of countless beautiful and touching moments in past Disney animations.

In Disney animation spanning a century, music has always been a vital element, injecting indispensable charm into Disney’s century-old dream-making journey. Songs from masterpieces such as “Frozen”, “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast” continue to be popular around the world, and songs and soundtracks from Disney animation have won 14 Academy Awards. As a major contribution to the centenary celebration of Disney animation, “Star Wish” will also continue Disney’s musical influence and leave a new classic melody.

The original English version of the “Star Wish” theme song sung by Jane Zhang was co-written by Grammy-nominated musician Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning musician Benjamin Rice. The film’s soundtrack uses a melody that organically blends grandeur and delicacy to render the heroine’s mental journey even more soul-stirring. The film will be released in mainland China on November 24.
