The Disney+ streaming platform will remove more than 50 series and films from its catalog from May 26. For amateurs, it’s a matter of hurrying to watch them.
Disney+ had announced at the last shareholders’ meeting that it would cut costs and focus on profitability; specifying that several dozen titles which do not collect enough audiences were going to be withdrawn from its catalog.
This will actually be done on May 26. There are now only three days left to watch the following titles:
• Allo la Terreici Ned
• Artemis Fowl
• Over to you, boss!
• Big Shot
• Black Beauty
• Guide dog for the blind in the making
• Clouds
• In the stars
• On the other side Diary of a future president
• Behind the stuff of heroes
• Dollface
• Encore !
• Strange, but true!
• First: robot competition
• Flora and Odysseus
• Foodtastic
• Harmonious Live !
• Loyal Heroes with Bill Farmer
• Hollywood Stargirl
• Justin’s workshop
• The future belongs to them
• The great fraud
• Princess
• Le Making Of de Willow
• Nate’s World
• The World According to Jeff Goldblum
• The mysterious Benedict circle
• Wonders of America
• The Little Champions: Game Changers
• Little Demon
• Magic Camp
•Maggie
• Dream weddings
• Marvel Hero Project
• Pentatonix: Christmas around the world
• Father and son at the end of the world
• Pistol

Not lost forever…
This recent decision by Disney+ to purge its library has sparked a lot of outrage. What shocked subscribers the most was the fact that fairly recent titles were removed from the catalog, including “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” or the fantasy series “Willow”.
The withdrawal of the latter comes indeed less than six months after the end of his only season, which ended in January. The revival of Ron Howard’s 1988 cult fantasy film had been heavily promoted by Disney, but apparently failed to find its audience.
“They gave us six months. Not even. This case has become absolutely cruel,” screenwriter John Bickerstaff wrote on Twitter.

Series creator Jonathan Kasdan also took to Twitter to comment on Disney’s decision, but unexpectedly showed a different reaction. Kasdan has indeed confided that the disappearance of certain programs will make people nostalgic, because for him to “lose” a beloved title brings him back to his childhood, at a time when Disney films were not as easy to access, what which made the children very impatient with each reissue.
I’ve been quiet on this news that #Willow is leaving @DisneyPlus ’cause… I’m kinda into it. I grew up at a time when @Disney movies were periodically re-released and not available to own, and it made them… more special. I worry about many things…

He wrote, “I’ve been silent on this news that ‘Willow’ is leaving Disney+ because… I kinda like it. I grew up in a time when Disney movies were periodically re-released and unavailable, and that made them more special. I worry about a lot of things… but not at all about the fact that ‘Willow’ will never be available again, either on Disney+ or maybe… elsewhere, and you never know where that might lead… things strangers have happened.” What reassure (a little) the fans of this series very unfairly shunned by the public.
This decision by Disney+ to shed some of its programs is reminiscent of the time when HBO Max had removed nearly a hundred from its catalog, in the same logic of cost reduction. Some of the most popular titles that disappeared, such as Westworld, have since resurfaced on other streaming services.
