Disney star Skai Jackson arrested for domestic violence

Disney star Skai Jackson has joined the ranks of former child stars who have gotten into trouble with the law. The former Disney Channel actress was recently arrested, according to TMZ.

Police sources confirmed to the tabloid that the actress, known for starring in Disney’s “Jessie” and “Bunk’d,” was arrested last week for domestic violence. According to the complaint, police arrested Jackson at the Universal CityWalk ride in California after the young woman apparently hit her partner in full view of the world.

Security recorded the altercation and detained the couple until police arrived, according to ‘TMZ’. Both the artist and her boyfriend denied that there had been any physical incident and even said they were happily engaged and expecting a baby together.

The young woman was arrested and the assault was verified on a security video from a camera in the area. After a few hours at the local police station, Skai Jackson was released.

Neither the actress nor her representative have yet issued any statements regarding the incident. The case remains in the hands of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which is evaluating possible charges.

Skai Jackson, 22, is the actress who played Zuri, the youngest sister of the Ross family in Disney Channel’s Jessie. This role opened the doors to the world of entertainment and he even participated in the spin-off of the series Camp Kikiwaka, during the first three seasons.

There she began her career to fame in 2011 playing a fictional Ugandan girl. She was the youngest of all the siblings under the protection of Jessie Prescott (Debby Ryan), the main character’s nanny who arrives in New York to seek a future far from her town in Texas.

Following the series’ finale, Skai did not play any other major roles. In 2020, she made an appearance on Dancing with the Stars, the ABC reality show.
