Disney reveals its release schedule to 2028

Disney studios revealed the list of movie premieres they have planned until the year 2028 and confirmed the dates of the films they will release in the remainder of 2020.

Starting with the today released “The New Mutants” and continuing with the mystery thriller “Death on the Nile” October 23, “Black Widow” on November 6 and “Soul” on November 20. All of these titles were originally going to debut in the early part of the year, but the coronavirus pandemic said otherwise.

By 2021 Disney projects the formal return of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with “The Eternals” on February 12 and “Shang Chi” May 7. The rest of the year will include the delayed Peter Jackson documentary “The Beatles: Get Back” dated August 27, “Cruella” on May 28 and the animated film “Luca” on June 18, plus six untitled projects.

It is in the year 2022 where the MCU will return with more strength from the hand of “Thor: Love and Thunder” on February 12, and the aftermath of “Doctor Strange” (March 25th), “Black Panther” (May 6) and “Captain Marvel” (July 8). After that, Marvel has five untitled films, one by the end of 2022 and four by 2023.

The calendar also includes the four sequels of “Avatar”, with the second part planned for December 16, 2022 and closing for December 22, 2028.
