The Disney group is expanding its range of material from its Star Wars and Marvel universes on the Disney + streaming portal. Ten new series should be published via the streaming service in the coming years, according to a presentation for investors. HBO productions continue on Sky first
In Germany, HBO content and blockbusters from the Warner Bros. studio will only be able to be seen on the pay-TV channel Sky in the future. An evaluation contract between WarnerMedia and Sky continues to exist, it said.
HBO Max is set to expand internationally in Latin America and Europe in the coming year. Existing HBO services, including in Portugal and the Scandinavian countries, will be converted to HBO Max. It is still unclear whether the service will also come to Germany after the contract with Sky expires. Warner aims to offer the service in 190 countries.
