After a first postponement, Mulan, live version of the famous cartoon, should have been released in theaters on July 24.

“The pandemic has changed exit plans from Mulan and we’re going to be flexible, as the situation demands, “said Disney in a statement signed by co-chairs Alan Bergman and Alan Horn.

“Director Niki Caro, our actors and the team have created a magnificent, epic and moving film that is everything the cinematic experience should be. And we think its place is on the world stage and on the big screen so that audiences around the world can take advantage of it, ”they wrote.

The move comes after Warner Bros. postponed the release of yet another great summer movie until mid-August. Tenet by Christopher Nolan – a thriller about an agency trying to prevent the Third World War.

Warner Bros. also expressed the need to be “flexible” when announcing its decision.

In early April, Disney decided to postpone the release of a dozen Marvel films and other major productions including Black Widow, with Scarlett Johansson in the title role. The release is now scheduled for November which automatically shifts the other films in the series to come.
