Disney fanatics will have to tighten their belts a little more if they want to visit the two theme parks located in the United States, as the company announced Wednesday that it has increased prices for its California and Florida facilities.
Daily tickets, parking tickets and annual passes are notably affected by these changes, according to several media reports.
“We are constantly adding new, innovative attractions and entertainment to our parks, and with our wide range of pricing options, the value of a theme park visit is reflected in the unique experiences that only Disney can provide,” said declared a Disney spokesperson in a press release.
Change for Orlando parks
As for Walt Disney World in Orlando, the change that will probably affect Quebecers the most is the increase in the price of access to standard parking. Thus, the latter increased from 25 to 30 US$. Please note, however, that parking is free for people staying in a Disney hotel as well as for those visiting Disney Springs, a shopping complex with restaurants and entertainment.
In addition, annual passes will increase from $30 to $50 US, depending on the type of pass. People who do not live in Florida can only purchase the Disney Incredi-Pass for US$1,449, an increase of $50.
What about Disneyland in Anaheim?
On the California side, we note more increases, in particular with daily tickets up to US$15 more expensive than before. The theme park also saw the price of its packages increase by US$25 for two days, US$30 for three days, US$50 for four days and US$65 for five days.
