Disney and Lucasfilm have decided to change their plans for their new project, Lando, which will become a feature film instead of a series, with international actor Donald Glover playing the starring role in the new work derived from the movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, as Lando in a younger version of the actor Billy. Dee Williams from Star Wars.
In recent weeks, it was revealed that Donald and Stephen Glover would take over the writing duties of the series, but after the change that occurred, Stephen joked that the work was heading to the big screen instead of television, but Disney did not respond about the possibility of launching it on its own platform.
Lando
Stephen stated, “The idea now is that they decided to present the character in a movie instead of a series, and thus all the information about the character is obtained in a shorter period, and this is what does not satisfy me.” After his statements, Lucasfilm confirmed that Lando will be a feature film.
Donald Glover spoke about returning to the character in an interview earlier this year, saying, “Lando is a different magician, a maverick type, which I don’t think there’s a lot of anymore. I’d love to play Lando again.” And it has to be the right way to do it. In the last couple of years, the coronavirus has made people really enjoy time. People realize that their time is valuable. You only get so much. I’m not interested in doing anything that will be a waste of my time or just a paycheck. I’d rather spend the time. “With people I enjoy, and it has to be the right thing, and I think it can be, Lando is definitely someone I love spending time with.”
