The driver who drove an Arriva train in Echt a few weeks ago let drive by a 15-year-old boy, was employed by employment agency LocoFlex in Roosendaal. He has been fired.
A video of the train ride appeared on Dumpert this weekend. The teenager can be seen closing the doors and driving away. He seems completely at ease with it. according to 1Limburg it was a train spotter. There was at least one passenger on the train.
“The moment we heard about this, he was fired on the spot,” says director Alex de Coninck of the employment agency for bus drivers and train drivers, among other things. “Because of course these are things that are unacceptable.”
The incident was reported to the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate via Arriva. The inspectorate has launched an investigation.
The driver does not want to respond to questions from the regional broadcaster.
