José Manuel Silva, better known as ‘Zeca da Henriqueta’, couldn’t resist the injuries caused by an accident with the motorcycle in which he was following, at the end of Thursday afternoon, in the A3 access variant, in Braga.
A businessman in the industrial maintenance business, he was a well-known figure among the textile industry in Vale do Ave, where he collaborated with some of the main laundries and dye shops in the region. Friends and co-workers recall a cheerful and cheerful man, engaged in the work he was doing.
At the age of 48, he currently worked exclusively at LTdye, in the municipality of Trofa, where he was responsible for industrial maintenance. For many years he was responsible for the same area at Pincoltêxteis, in the parish of Cavalões, Famalicão, where he was born. He currently resided in Gondifelos, with wife and children.
José Manuel, in love with big motorcycles, was driving yesterday, around 7:30 pm, on the A3 access route, in the direction Braga – Famalicão, when he would have suffered a touch from a light car, entering a test that turned out to be fatal.
For a few minutes, several popular people tried to revive the man who immediately went into cardiorespiratory arrest caused by the collision with the central separators of that road. Firefighters arrived about 10 minutes after the alert, but it was no longer possible to reverse heart failure.
On site were the Firefighters from Braga, the medical team from VMER in Famalicão and the traffic brigade from GNR, as well as assistants from the concessionaire Brisa, who were the first to arrive after the accident.
The ‘Zeca’ funeral ceremonies take place this Saturday at 4:30 pm in the parish church of Gondifelos, going to bury in the local cemetery.
