After almost a year of investigations, the authorities managed to dismantle a gang dedicated to the theft and commercialization of stolen motorcycles called Los Krans, thanks to the capture of five of its alleged members.
These five people fell during the development of six search procedures in the Bellavista, El Edén, La Trinidad and El Prado de Sincelejo neighborhoods, and now they are being prosecuted for the crime of conspiracy to commit a crime in competition to commit theft.
After understanding and analyzing the special way of acting of this criminal group, an operation was carried out with more than seventy officers who also seized six cell phones, two motorcycles, a communication radio and several documents to be analyzed.
According to the information collected, these individuals had interference in the municipalities of Sincelejo, Corozal, Sampos and Chinú, in the department of Córdoba, led by aliases El Ñato and alias Bubalú.
The Krans were dedicated to the theft of motorcycles under the modalities of robbery and hauling, where the ringleader and receivers robbed them to sell them for auto parts, according to the Sucre Police Department.
The dismantling of this gang was made possible thanks to the support of the criminalistics group and the technical experts of motor vehicles of the National Police, getting to know that within the criminal structure everyone played their role.
