Complaint

The investigation began through a complaint in which the agents were made aware of the existence of a criminal organization allegedly dedicated to the sexual exploitation of women, mostly Colombian, in dating flats in various Spanish provinces.

The agents were able to verify that those responsible for the network were two couples, one who operated in dating flats in Mieres and La Bañeza and the other in Elche, the latter being the ones who captured the victims in their country of origin through two contacts who acted as intermediaries and managed all the necessary documentation to travel to Spain, contracting an initial debt of 1,500 euros. When they arrived in Spain, they were informed that the debt was 3,000 euros and that they had to engage in prostitution to pay it off.

The couple that operated in Asturias and León, captured the victims in Spain, for this they published advertisements on the Internet, made use of dating websites to advertise places in their apartments, which were answered by women in a state of vulnerability whom they convinced to practice prostitution.

When they arrived at the apartments, they found another reality to the agreed one, since they had to be available 24 hours a day, without being able to sleep or rest, they controlled them with video surveillance cameras and on many occasions they were not paid the agreed salary as form of punishment and imposition of control.
