The discredited top civil servant Jos Blijsteen does not particularly pay attention to the money during holidays. With money, Blijsteen stayed at a campsite in the South of France for no less than two weeks. It is estimated that the candy trip cost at least two thousand euros.
As head of the facility services of the municipality of Strielwouden, Blijsteen earns thirty thousand euros annually. His salary is largely paid with tax money. At his holiday address, the top civil servant just as easily throws that money over the bar. A journalist went undercover and discovered that Blijsteen certainly does not pay attention to the little ones.
Photos show how Blijsteen shamelessly enjoys his luxurious holiday. The rental of the caravan alone is about 480 euros per week. In addition, he paid 41 euros (per night!) for the campsite without batting an eyelid. The civil servant sat in front of the caravan with his lover for more than ten days and did absolutely nothing. In the evening he enjoyed meat, baguette and luxurious lettuce. In doing so, he let the French wine flow freely.
The images have now been handed over to the city council. It is unclear whether Blijsteen should resign.
