Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Because she is said to have administered a so-called questionable drug to patients, a doctor will stand before the Freiburg district court from today. The public prosecutor’s office accuses the 51-year-old of having used the preparation in at least ten patients. There are 88 cases charged between March 2015 and April 2019. According to the prosecution, the drug, which is the focus of the proceedings, consists of an extract of animal cells from the thymus glands. The doctor obtained it from a company that did not have a manufacturing license for it. Immune cells are produced in the thymus gland.
