I hereby author this author to use the terms “Windows 11 are / will be free” only if there is a new license for free. If it is an upgrade / downgrade, this should always be stated. This makes the article confusing.
“None of this has been confirmed and Windows 11 will be free. On one condition – that you have compatible hardware.”
I guess Windows 11 won’t be free. For free, you will SWITCH to Windows 11 from Windows 10 (and possibly older). And so the condition will not be one. The second condition will be ownership of an older license or not?
