How family-friendly a visit to the Rheinkirmes is currently is discussed in many places on the Internet, for example. A currywurst with fries often costs eight euros, and a glass of old can sometimes cost up to 3.50 euros. The most expensive rides will charge around 10 euros for a ride, and there is hardly a carousel for less than three euros. The reason for this is the increased costs in all areas. Groceries have become more expensive, as have electricity, transport and personnel costs. The fair starts on Friday and lasts until July 23rd.
