How can BF make a No Man’s Sky trip?

No, Battlefield 2042 was really no audience success. Shortly after its premiere a few weeks ago, the Dice shooter was ranked in one of the lowest user reviews on Steam ever, with only 26% positive reviews. It has improved since then – at the time of writing, just under 34% are positive – but the overall rating is still “Mostly negative”.
Dice learns to work rock hard to pry users’ mouths upwards. It’s not easy, though No Man’s Sky has shown that it is possible.
But what needs to be done to transform BF2042 to a game that keeps old good Battlefield-class? Bug fixes, more content, Santa costumes ..? (Joking!) Give your best tips!
