Today Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico are ready for the final day. That promises to be a spectacle, especially in France, because there is a sprinter’s ride in Italy. In addition, the Tour of Drenthe and the Dorpenomloop Rucphen are on the program.
Paris-Nice ends with the familiar arrival on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. First a short but serious stage through the hinterland awaits with climbs of Côte de Levens, Côte de Châteauneuf, Côte de Berre-les-Alpes, Côte de Peille and the steep side of the Col d’Èze (6 km at 7.6 %). After 118 kilometers the finish is around 2.45 pm.
The battle is over, the final winner of Tyrrhenian-Adriatic is normally known. The final stage goes along the Adriatic coast to and from San Benedetto del Tronto. This year again no individual time trial awaits the riders, but a relatively flat ride in line. We will know the winner around 4.30 pm.
After yesterday’s women’s competition, today the Tour of Drenthe for men. Between Emmen and Hoogeveen, the riders ride almost 192 kilometers and pass the VAM mountain four times. The start is early and so is the finish, just after 3 p.m. The Village circuit Rucphen ends around 4pm.
