– The explosives were on a slope, not easily visible. These are high-explosive blasting caps used for dynamite blasting. There were about 30 of these, which are dangerous in the wrong hands to put it that way, says operations manager André Kråkenes at Sørøst police district to NTB.
He says it is uncertain how long the explosives have been there, as well as the reason why they were there.
– They must be secured by the bomb squad. The explosives will be taken to a suitable place for destruction, says Kråkenes.
