Discovery of dead person – investigated as suspicious death

Just over 12 o’clock on Tuesday morning, a dead person was found by a random passer-by at Kyvannet in Trondheim.

The police state in a press release on Tuesday night that preliminary investigations indicate that this is the same person who has been the subject of a search operation in Trondheim since midnight, night until Tuesday.

The police have carried out forensic investigations on the spot and are investigating the movements of the deceased.

There is no concrete suspicion that others have been involved in the death.

– At the same time, there are findings at the site that make the police so far investigate this as a suspicious death. It is important to assess and investigate several hypotheses, before we conclude, says head of investigation Eivind Guldseth.

The deceased will be autopsied during Tuesday night.
