Discovery of Blood Donation Organization by College Students in Callac

Friday, at the village hall, the association of blood donors, chaired by Laëtitia Le Floc’h, organized its second blood drive of the year, out of the four scheduled this year.

This collection was an opportunity for representatives of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) to offer middle school students from 5e et 3e of the Gwer-Halou college, an animation with projection of a film on the importance of blood donation, as well as information on its composition, the different blood groups and their incompatibilities, the progress of a collection, etc.

The students then went to the collection room, when Angélique Simoneau-Le Sager, principal of the college, gave her blood. The members of the EFS, after having explained to the college students that they should wait until the age of 18 to be able to make a donation, recalled that this gesture is an act of citizenship, solidarity and freedom, which makes it possible to respond to daily needs on a voluntary basis. The more numerous and regular you will be to give, the more we will be able to help together, every day, the patients who need it. .

On Friday, 56 people, including three new donors, came to the collection.
