Nordland police found a lifeless person in Vesterålen, after a search operation that took place on Sunday.
This is what the Nordland Police District writes on Twitter.
The search operation was launched after a family member reported that the person in question had not returned home after a Saturday night service.
– After a short search, a dead person was found. Life-saving first aid was administered. The patient was finally taken to the hospital. At 14.35 the patient was pronounced dead, write the police.
The police have launched a routine investigation.
VG has tried to get in touch with the Nordland Police District, but so far without success.
