According to several international media, many “Star Trek” fans are cursed that “Discovery” is now removed from Netflix just days before season 4 was to come.

The reason is that Paramount + has bought the rights to the series, which so far has been on Netflix.
In Norway you can get Paramount +, but viewers in 20 countries, including the UK, will have to wait until the power service becomes available next year, according to BBC.
Paramount + has shared a post on Twitter where they write that “Star Trek: Discovery” will be available “early next year”.
The BBC shares several reactions from fans who are upset about the abrupt news – three days before the planned season premiere on Netflix on Friday.
At a Star Trek conference in London as recently as last week, fans were tempted with what to expect from the upcoming season four.
Screen Rant calls the move of the series “a huge disappointment for the fans”.

Originally, the American CBS made the series for its streaming service, but to reach the international market, they entered into an agreement with Netflix.
In the US, the series has moved to Paramount +, and according to Screen Rant, Netflix and Paramount have agreed that the latter will take over the rights to “Star Trek: Discovery” ahead of Paramount + launching globally next year.
