Discovery+ announced this Wednesday that acquired the rights to the videos with which producer Alex Holder documented Donald Trump’s last days in the White Housesome recordings that will also serve as evidence for the committee investigating the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The channel, owned by the new conglomerate Warner Bros. Discoverywill broadcast the documentary, divided into three parts, at the end of the summer, although some of its scenes will be made public this Thursday during the televised hearings that the US Congress is holding.
“Featuring never-before-seen footage of the Trump family on the campaign trail and their reactions to the election result, this docu-series will deliver unprecedented and intimate interviews with Trump, his family and others from the White House”informed a platform worker to the specialized press in Hollywood.
The production will be titled “Unprecedented” (“Without Precedents”) and, apparently, it will be key in the investigations that the congressmen are carrying out to settle responsibilities before the assault on the Capitol in which five people died on January 6, 2021, while a session was held to confirm Joe Biden as the winner of the elections.
According to the newspaper Politico, the documentary contains conversations by the Trump family and their advisers that would be contradictory to what they have declared before the investigation commission.
Alex Holderthe producer who worked for the BBC and followed former President Donald Trump (2017-2020) for several months, agreed to testify about the content of his recordings in Thursday’s session.
They will be the fragments of the second documentary that passes through that commission, since at the beginning of June the British filmmaker Nick Quested handed over his recordings of the extreme right-wing group Proud Boys, who participated in the organization of the assault.
