Recently, a hiker discovered a shell in the municipality of Morosaglia, probably “at the bend of a path”according to a publication from the gendarmerie of Corsica.
This artillery projectile dated from the Second World War. Alerted by the Morosaglia – Ponte-Leccia brigade, the Bastia demining services went to the site to destroy this ammunition.
As a reminder and in such a case, the authorities invite “geolocate the places with (his) phone, take a photo of the place and the object without putting himself in danger, isolate the place if possible and quickly report his presence to the gendarmerie n ° 17”.
