This year, the so-called internship weeks will take place in the Lake Constance district for the second time. During and after the Pentecost holidays from May 30 to June 23, 2023 and before and during the autumn holidays from October 16 to November 3, 2023, schoolchildren can get a taste of five companies from different sectors over five days. Suitable one-day internships are available on the state’s free online platform at www.praktikumswoche-bw.de or www.praktikumswoche.de/bodenseekreis to find.
Internships are offered in care, trade, metal and electrical industry, public service, administration, hotels and restaurants as well as green professions. An additional application is not necessary. The period can be individually designed and a new professional field and company can be discovered every day. On all days, the participants also receive certificates that make a good impression for further applications. Companies can also register without great effort and present their professions to young people.
As early as 2022, a total of 4,000 schoolchildren and 3,300 companies supported the campaign across the country. Numerous impressions, contacts and training contracts were the result.
The internship weeks in Baden-Württemberg are financed jointly by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Education, the regional directorate of Baden-Württemberg of the Federal Employment Agency, the Employers’ Association Südwestmetall, the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Baden-Württemberg Crafts Day and by the partners of the training alliance and SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Baden -Württemberg supported.
