HBO triumphed: its “Succession” series won Best Drama Series and “The White Lotus” won Best Miniseries. AppleTV + did well too, with the “Ted Lasso” series winning the Emmy Award for Best Comedy.

HBO’s “Succession,” a dark and crude chronicle of a powerful family tearing itself apart to take control of a media empire, won the Emmy Award for Best Drama of the Year Monday.
Already a winner in 2020, this program largely inspired by the struggles within the family of billionaire Rupert Murdoch according to many critics, has notably surpassed the Korean series “Squid Game”, produced by Netflix.

The extravagant “Ted Lasso” series, which follows a completely lost American football coach as he takes control of an English football team, was voted Best Comedy of the Year at the Los Angeles Emmy Awards on Monday.
