Discover the vaccination points against covid in Quito from December 12 to 18 – Quito Informa

The Municipality of Quito, through the Ministry of Health and in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), provides all the support with its health personnel to strengthen the vaccination process in the Metropolitan District of Quito in order to reduce the number of epidemiological infections covid risk.

The three points authorized by the Ministry of Health provide permanent care in the following places and times:

In the treatment points, the entire population awaiting vaccination will be vaccinated starting from the age of three.

According to the guidelines issued by the MSP, the second booster dose will be given four months after the inoculation of the first booster to people over the age of 50; older than 12 years with moderate or severe immunosuppression, children aged 3 to 11 years with moderate or severe immunosuppression will receive the first booster 28 days after the second dose with Sinovac; health personnel and health care workers, which includes administrators working in health institutions; over 18s vaccinated abroad with the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) who received their first booster dose five months ago.

Furthermore, vaccination will be exclusively for travelers whose country of destination requires the inoculation of two doses of vaccines authorized for that country (AstraZeneca, Sinovac) for entry. For them, the second booster will be inoculated 28 days after applying the first booster.

Similarly, the population whose age is between 18 and 49 and who have already completed five months since the application of the first booster against the covid will receive the second dose of booster, according to the guidelines issued by the MSP on June 5 2022.

The Cabildo reiterates its call for the community to complete its vaccination program and maintain biosafety standards, in order to prevent and reduce the spread of the virus.

Care for oneself and others is urged, the mandatory use of the mask in closed spaces and in the presence of symptoms it is recommended to go to a medical service to be treated and determine the corresponding diagnosis.
