Isere
The mercury rose in Grenoble, this Monday, July 18, but in a “reasonable” way: 35°. A temperature recorded in the shade at 3 p.m. The city record is 39.5 degrees, measured on August 13, 2003.
In Nord-Isère, we were able to measure 34° in Bourgoin-Jallieu and in Vienne.

Haute-Savoie
At altitude it is also hot, but on a different scale. At 1:30 p.m., it was 9.2° at the Aiguille du Midi (3842 m). At the Col Major, just under Mont Blanc (4750 m), when it was -0.5 at 1:30 p.m., the mercury rose to 5.7 degrees 60m below the altitude of Mont Blanc at 3:30 p.m…. But we We are still far from the record of June 18, when at 2 p.m., it was 10.4 degrees at Col Major. The previous record dated from June 2019 when it was 6.8°.
On the Annemasse side at 2 p.m., we could note 34° in the shade at the Chablais-Gare pharmacy. Around 2:45 p.m., in the shade, the mercury posted 32.5 degrees in Cluses.
Savoy
At 2:55 p.m., we recorded a temperature of 34.5° in Aix-les-Bains at the Alfred-Boucher square. A temperature that does not yet approach the record of 38.8 degrees of July 7, 2015.
On the side of Chambéry, almost the same temperature as in Aix-les-Bains with a mercury displaying 34° in the shade.
The thermometer showed a little warmer in Albertville, where it was raised to 36° in the shade this Monday at 3 p.m., on the Place de l’Europe.

Drome
Heat stroke in the south of Drôme. In Montélimar, the temperature could rise to 40 degrees. The city’s record is not far from this reading: 41.1°, on August 13, 2003.
37°C in the shade is the temperature recorded at 3 p.m. at the pharmacy on rue Madier-Montjau near the town hall of Valence. The Valentinois had seen the mercury rise to 40.8 degrees on August 13, 2003.
Ardeche
In Ardèche, and more particularly in Aubenas, we are “far” from the record. This Monday at 3 p.m., it was 35° in the shade in the city center. The Albenassiens had endured 41.4° on June 28, 2019.
On the other side of the Rhône, in Guilherand Granges, the temperature recorded at 5 p.m. is 37.5 degrees in the shade.
Vaucluse
In the Vaucluse, a department on our list that experienced the highest heat in history with 44.3 degrees in Carpentras and Cadenet on June 28, 2019, we recorded 40° in Carpentras.
On the Orange side this Monday. It was already 30° at 9:30 in the shade, before seeing the mercury climb to 40° as well. Orange’s record is set at 42.6 degrees on June 28, 2019.

High mountains
This Monday, at 3 p.m., we were able to raise 35° in the shade according to the thermometer of the Prorel pharmacy in Briançon. It could even have risen to 42° in full sun, as can be seen in a photo at the Park pharmacy.
On the Gap side, a single indicator, and it is in the sun: 43° on Place Jean-Marcellin at 2 p.m.
