So many rave reviews, pending that of Rock’n’Folk scheduled for next month, for this trio from Thionville composed of Stéphane (ex La Fonte) on drums, Thierry on bass and David (Foggy Bottom) on fuzz guitar. A group formed five months after confinement… Inevitably, it had to send, to come out.
From where a music, influenced by groups such as Loop, Young Gods or Sonic Youth. “And the new wave as a whole”, supports Thierry, the author of the texts. “Which overall are quite dark but also a little blurry, which leaves a lot to interpretation.”
Precision, it is in French that the group expresses itself on the eight titles included on the first album, Transparent produced by the Parisian label Slow Death.

And why did you choose the surname of Rimel? “Because with Rimel, it’s not just watery eyes. The ears too”, laughs Stéphane. “With us, it’s a whirlwind of sound that we take in the head. We don’t make pop songs, we work on trance. It’s a call to make people move that leaves a lot to improvisation on stage. »
The scene, let’s talk about it. The musicians, who are no longer really what can be called partridges of the year, will perform at Place Au Bois in Thionville on the occasion of the music festival. But are open to any proposal for future concerts. “We only ask for that”, they proclaim in chorus. Because seeing Rimel in concert, it really risks to blusher you.
