With the “Photos” application, today’s Windows computers come with their own image-editing program.
Among other things, this allows you to quickly improve photos automatically.
Autocorrect enhances colors, adjusts contrast, or corrects perspectives. As reported by the German trade magazine “Computer Bild”, this almost always works without problems.
In Windows 11, for example, just open the file explorer and double-click on the photo you want to edit to automatically open the “Photos” application.
In the event that this does not happen, you will have to click with the right mouse button on the photo and select in the “Open with” option of the “Photo Viewer for Windows” with which program an image file should be opened by default.
Also in the predecessor version of Windows you can advance by right-clicking.
In the open program, the photo image appears in enlarged view. There, click on the “Edit” symbol with the mouse. This is located in the upper center on the left and can be recognized by a pencil in front of an image symbol. In the center three symbols appear; the one with the brush is the one that is needed to edit a photo. Clicking on it opens the filter on the right with the magic wand that allows you to automatically retouch the image.
The white slider allows you to increase the effect (drag to the right) or decrease it (drag to the left). Once the photo has been edited, it will be saved in the desired place.
