Discover the New Pokémon Trading Card Game Era with Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved Expansion

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) has entered a new era with the release of the Scarlet & Violet expansion. This expansion focuses on the ninth generation of Pokémon games and introduces the new Paldea region. The Paldea Evolved set, part of the Scarlet & Violet era, brings notable changes to the TCG hobby.

One major change is the silver borders on the cards, which match the Japanese releases. Additionally, each pack now guarantees at least one Holo Rare card and two Holo Reverse cards. The lowercase ex mechanic is a highlight of this era, featuring a double holographic pattern with a horizontal glow and starry sparkle. Full Art ex cards now feature a green foil outline around the Pokémon.

The Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved set, released on June 9, 2023, features the Paldea Initials and the Legendary Treasures of Ruin. Among the featured cards in this set are two versions of Tandemaus, illustrated by Oswaldo KATO and Sekio respectively. Tandemaus’ evolved form, Maushold, also makes an appearance. Interestingly, the set includes a Three Members of Maushold’s Family form, marking his first appearance in this configuration. Previously, a Four Members of Maushold’s Family card was included in the Scarlet & Violet expansion.

The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved continues to captivate collectors and players alike with its unique art and attractive card designs. Fans can expect more glimpses of cards from this special set, with the focus shifting to the main section of the set in the upcoming release.
