Coldplay has released the deluxe edition of his album Moon Musicnow renamed as Moon Music (Full Moon Edition)including some exciting collaborations with Jon Hopkins y Matty Healy of The 1975.
Just three days after the release of the standard edition of Moon Music, Coldplay surprised his fans with this edition Full Moon containing 10 bonus tracks, including several live recordings. Among the new songs is a collaboration with Matty Healy titled The Karate Kidon which Healy does not sing but has contributed additional production and piano work. Also included are two new songs with Jon Hopkins, titled Angelsong y Wavewhich join those that Hopkins had already worked on on the main album.
In an exclusive interview with NME, Chris Martin, frontman of the band, spoke about the themes that inspired the album and revealed that this album that we are beginning to discover tells “the story of waking up in the morning feeling terrible about yourself”, before embark on “a journey to feel the opposite at the end of the day.”
Martin also confirmed that the decision to limit their discography to 12 albums is very real, which has made them more hungry in their approach so as not to dilute the quality of their work. He promised fans that by the time they finish the twelfth album, “it will all make sense” in terms of the story of Coldplay.
