The new Lancer was powered by a naturally aspirated 1,800cc 4-cylinder engine, generating 137 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm with CVT automatic transmission.
Some sources point to the continued production of Mitsubishi Lancer for the Chinese market so far at one of the CMC Group plants in Taiwan, and the company reportedly does not intend to revive its car in any of the world markets.
