Guided tour and workshop for children and young people aged 8 to 14 in the Archaeological Museum

Shortly before Christmas, the event “Children and Precious Things Under the Early Medieval Frankfurt Cathedral Hill” for children and young people aged 8 to 14 will take place in the Archaeological Museum again: In the workshop, children and young people can make jewelry under the archaeological and goldsmithing instructions of Sayuri de Zilva made like in the Middle Ages: made of metal, with a hammer, anvil, pliers and files – jewelry that even noble children in the early Middle Ages could have worn.

The jewelry of two children who were buried on the cathedral hill in Frankfurt over 1,500 years ago serves as a model. Why they were buried there and who these children were will be answered in an exciting tour with Petra Skiba before the workshop!

The workshop will take place on Sunday, December 17th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The meeting point is the foyer of the Archaeological Museum at Karmelitergasse 1. The cost per person is 15 euros and also includes the material.
