The object of the week: school posters
School posters have marked generations of school children. This didactic material was used by teachers to illustrate their lessons. They were essential supports for the teaching of history, geography, natural sciences and even for learning to read. These posters, with their undeniable graphic qualities, are highly prized by collectors today.
The posters published by Fernand Nathan, the geographical maps of Paul Vidal de la Blache or the Rossignol series are the best known and the most sought after.
To become the owner of a school poster, you will have to pay around 20 €.

A precision
As a comment to our last Coin du bargain-hunter, the Internet user Mich pointed out a mistake we made on the subject of the week. “The Michelin object that you present is not at all a bedside lamp, he writes. It is an illuminated advertising sign, which was placed on the counter or in the window of booksellers or other businesses, which, at the time, were custodians of the famous guide and other road maps.”
So here is the error fixed and thanks to Mich for his look.
