The visits of heads of state to the city on the banks of the Cher is the theme of a conference organized this evening, at 6 p.m., Salicis room rue Lavoisier. Initiative of the Historical Library of Montluçon, with local historian Jean-Paul Perrin as speaker. He was therefore interested in these visits, the framework in which they took place and their consequences.
The first of these visits by heads of state was that of Napoleon III, we are in 1864.
Jean-Paul Perrin will also return to Marshal Pétain’s visit on 1is May 1941.
