The Christmas celebrations begin this Saturday, November 27 in Dijon (Côte-d’Or). The decorations are now on and the market has opened.
The streets are adorned with their most beautiful colors, the chalets open their doors, the giant Christmas tree triumphs on the Place de la Liberation. That’s it, the Christmas spirit invades Dijon this Saturday, November 27!

It was at 6 p.m. exactly that the illuminations in the town center of the town were lit, accompanied by the songs of the Sing’all choir.

Young and old alike in us can now enjoy the many shows planned for the end of the year celebrations. 30,000 tickets will be offered to fully experience the Christmas spirit.

On the program this year : the merry-go-round on the Place du Théâtre, the Ferris wheel, the ice rink, the house of Father Christmas, the gourmet chalets on the Place de la République, the Christmas market, the little train on the Place Darcy or the carousel and the 18-meter fir tree made up of 361 trees on the Place de Liberation. Not to mention the descent of Santa Claus (himself!) Scheduled for December 24 at 6.30 p.m. What then give him time to deliver his gifts.

Note that this year, the Christmas market has 29 chalets, compared to 46 in 2019.

In total, the city of Dijon invested 300,000 euros in the festivities. These will last until January 2.
