The Chapelles & Co association celebrates its 10th anniversary with 10 events until June 2022. On Saturday June 26, the official launch of this anniversary will take place with the opening of a exhibition and a walking tour in Roubaix from 2:30 p.m..
Promote the small religious heritage
Chapelles & Co was created in 2011 by Thomas Sanchez, who has since become the cultural manager of Lille cathedral and the sacred art center.
The aim of this association is to help preserve and enhance the small so-called “remarkable” religious heritage of the Lille metropolis, especially in Bousbecque, Lille, Mons-en-Baroeul, Roubaix, Saint-André-Lez-Lille, Wambrechies and Wattrelos.
Hervé Dorval photo exhibition
For its 10th anniversary, the association has decided to mount a major exhibition in partnership with the Transphotographiques photo festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Fifteen chapels have been chosen, including 3 in Roubaix, to each host a photograph by Hervé Dorval on the theme of chapels, until September 19, 2021. This photo exhibition has already been in the spotlight at Lille Cathedral in 2017 .
A walk in Roubaix
Saturday June 26, meeting at 2:30 p.m. in front of the Saint-Martin de Roubaix church on the Grand’Place. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., walking tour in the city center of Roubaix to explore the chapels of Roubaix and the photographic exhibition.
This also takes place within the framework of the days of country heritage and mills.
Other highlights will follow in the year, reaching the number of 10.
Note that Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 12 p.m., is scheduled for the inauguration of the niche of Notre-Dame des Flandres at 6 rue Sainte-Cécile in Saint-André-Lez-Lille.
