Built on the Celeris platform, the vehicle benefits from Texelis’ expertise, honed through their work on the Serval 4×4 personnel carrier for the French Army. This collaboration ensures seamless integration of mobility systems, while PT SSE handles the tactical and combat systems.
“This is our most complex yet fastest vehicle development. Dealing with only one supplier is much easier for us because we don’t have to deal with procurement,delays,adaptations,” said PT SSE CEO Eka Suryajaya in a press release.
Cutting-Edge Technology
At the heart of the P2 Tiger lies a 375 horsepower engine from Cummins, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission from Allison. The vehicle also features a transfer case from Powerline and axles from Texelis, ensuring optimal performance in the most challenging terrains.
One of the standout features of the P2 tiger is its independent suspension system, which enhances maneuverability and stability. “The main difference between the P2 Tiger and our previous development is the independent suspension system, and also all the technological advantages that make the Celeris much more modern compared to the conventional technology we used before,” explained PT SSE Technology Director Yusuf Nurdin.

The journey of the P2 Tiger began in March 2023 when PT SSE and Texelis first met in Indonesia. By 2024, a contract was signed, and the first Celeris kit was delivered to PT SSE.With Texelis’ support,the mobility platform was integrated seamlessly,and the first P2 tiger was introduced in 2023,going on sale in 2024.
