The most interesting thing to know about Polestones 01, the new SUV from the semi-unknown Chinese company which also aims at the Italian market, is that it was designed by Pininfarina, effectively removing any doubts about possible plagiarism. The designer did his best to create a convincing product with a solid and macho look. In fact, the car appears massive and imposing.

Under the hood of the car we find a hybrid powertrain which guarantees a power of 476 horsepower ensured by a pair of electric motors and a thermal one that provides the power to start the vehicle. Despite its mass of over five metres, the car has an impressive range and with a full charge it can exceed 1,300 kilometers of range with all engines in action.
According to the company’s managers, the inspiration for the vehicle comes from Chinese popular culture: “The car was born from the character Shi which in the ancient Chinese language means rock”. Surely, the medium holds true to this name given its appearance and excellent off-road performance. However, the cost is the strong point of the vehicle which, at least for now, is set at 45 thousand euros, nothing for a luxury SUV!
