The Italian operator Iliad is once again teaching Czech competitors
In the south of Europe, it offers 150GB and 300GB tariffs with unlimited calls and SMS
At the same time, the prices are in the lower units of hundred crowns
Unfortunately, the Czech market with operators is often perceived negatively among customers; little music is given away for a lot of money. However, a completely different situation prevails in Poland or Italy, for example. Although these countries have several times more inhabitants compared to the Czech Republic (Poland 37.5 million, Italy 59 million), the offers of O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile are significantly worse. The South European operator Iliad rushed in the summer with a very interesting offer that many domestic customers would appreciate.
A bunch of gigabytes for a few bucks
As part of the GIGA 150 tariff, it offers, as the name suggests, a data package with FUP 150 GB at full 5G speed in areas where Iliad has coverage. According to the operator’s information, this is more than 3,000 Italian cities and towns. If the customer uses up the 150GB data package, he continues surfing with a tariff of 90 cents (21 crowns) per 100 MB; these are really ridiculous amounts. On top of that, Iliad adds 10 GB of European roaming.
An extremely attractive offer from the Italian operator Iliad. We can dream about such conditions in the Czech Republic.
As for calls and SMS, the operator offers unlimited minutes and SMS as standard, even within European roaming. The price of the monthly tariff is 9.99 euros (240 crowns including VAT), however Iliad still charges 9.99 euros for each activated SIM card. In Italy, this is standard practice when signing a contract with an operator. However, the price also includes a voicemail, an answering machine or an automatic SMS “call me back” service.
In addition to the GIGA 150 tariff, Iliad also offers GIGA 100 with a 100GB package for 7.99 euros (190 crowns) per month, or a similar 300GB tariff for really demanding clients, the price of which is still very attractive 13.99 euros (340 crowns) per month. The rich data package is always accompanied by unlimited calls and SMS. In any case, the customer pays 9.99 euros for SIM activation.
Don’t overlook
T-Mobile has put together a fantastic plan for the thrifty. It only has one huge catch
Unfortunately, Czech operators are not very often inspired by Italian ones. While tariffs with a large amount of data are more popular in the south of Europe, in the Czech Republic providers have chosen a different strategy and prefer to offer unlimited data tariffs where the customer has a certain speed (5, 10, 20 or even more Mb/s). However, it can be seen from the response of consumers that they do not really require an unlimited tariff, mostly even users of unlimited data only use lower tens of gigabytes per month.
