discover the 18 emblematic monuments selected

The Heritage Foundation unveiled on Monday the 18 main sites from mainland France and overseas selected for the fourth edition of the heritage lottery. The sums collected through games and raffles will contribute to the renovation of these endangered monuments. “670 new projects were reported this year on the platform, which brings the number of sites identified since the first edition in 2018 to 4,000“explains the Foundation in a press release.

527 sites have already benefited from this restoration aid system, and 260 sites have already been saved (182 projects in progress and 78 completed), indicates the Heritage Mission. The 18 emblematic sites selected this year will know the amount of their endowments during the next European Heritage Days, which are to be held in September.

La Française des jeux will put on sale the Mission Patrimoine drawing and scratch games at the beginning of September. Since 2018, 127 million euros have been collected and have helped restore work on all the sites selected. In addition to the 18 priority sites, the Heritage Foundation will announce next September the list of around a hundred new “mesh” sites (one site per department and overseas collectivity). They will be endowed by the receipts resulting from the Loto du Patrimoine, in December.
