Discover Propolis at Thionville Côté Nature Event: Learn about Bees, Honey Production, and Antiseptic Properties at Ruchers de Mary & Patrimoine Avenir’s Stand in Mandela Park

Do you know propolis? This mixture of resins harvested from trees and salivary secretions from bees with antiseptic properties and offered for sale this Saturday at Mandela Park? Those who went to the Liberation Alley this Saturday were entitled to all the explanations thanks to a honey producer from the Ruchers de Mary & Patrimoine Avenir participating in the Thionville Côté Nature event.

This beautiful day opening the weekend is part of a four-day program where the public had the opportunity to discover at Puzzle the Fresco of Biodiversity of the Pieds sur Terre association, cross the gates of the station of wastewater treatment, visit city parks with a guide and stroll through municipal nurseries. Not to mention the screening at La Scala of The life of the intraterrestrials with Apolline Auclerc, soil ecologist, lecturer at Ensaia (University of Lorraine).

This Saturday, a whole associative village brought together the artisans, associations and producers of the territory for this highlight of the event. The opportunity for the public to participate in educational and creative workshops, rub shoulders with farm animals and a mealworm farm, on a musical background, offered by the classes of the music conservatory.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the local group of the LPO offers a photo exhibition in Puzzle, until May 30, illustrating the local animal diversity.
