At Grip on Life’s demonstration areas, you can learn more about, among other things, forestry with regard to the forest’s water, logging-free forestry, conservation management and life in and around the water. Visit an area on your own or join a walking tour!

In total, we are building 60 areas across the country. The Forest Owners Associations Middle Forest, Norra Skog and Södra Skogsägarna build approximately 50 of these, the county administrations and the Forestry Agency are responsible for around ten demonstration areas.

Visit a demonstration area

Soon we will publish the map “Find demonstration areas” where you can see which area is closest to you. The areas are free to visit, there are information signs that tell, among other things, about forestry with regard to the forest’s water, natural values and life in and around the water. In some areas there are also barbecue areas and benches.

For the time being, it is fine to contact the respective project partners for more information about demonstration areas, see Contact us in the menu.

Take a digital walk

Some of the demonstration areas can also be visited digitally. On these digital “walks” there is information about the demonstration area including a map, but above all there is in-depth knowledge of the specific subject shown in the demonstration area, for example clear-cut forestry or forestry with consideration of the forest’s water. There are also tips and advice on measures that you, as a forest owner, can take in your forest.

Links can be found under the heading Digital demonstration areas.
