On the occasion of their Open Days on October 5 and 6, the public will be able to discover three important sites of the company: the Villette wastewater treatment plant, the Cheneviers factory and the Jet d’eau.
For two days, Geneva’s industrial services invite Genevans to the heart of their infrastructure to discover the essential services provided to the population every day. Visitors will be able to closely observe the operation of the installations, usually inaccessible, to better understand the importance of the treatment and recovery of waste and wastewater, as well as the operation of an emblematic installation such as the Jet d’eau.
- The Cheneviers factory (Aire la Ville), a Geneva waste management site, will unveil its waste treatment and recovery facilities as well as its contribution to the production of renewable energy.
- The Villette wastewater treatment plant (Thônex), essential for the treatment of wastewater in the region, will show the stages of water sanitation and the treatment of micropollutants, necessary to safeguard aquatic fauna and flora.
- The Jet d’eau, symbol of Geneva, will offer a tour of its infrastructure, offering a unique perspective on the mechanics behind this essential monument
Guided tours of the three sites are offered upon registration.
