The Federation of General Practitioners of Quebec and the Ministry of Health are returning to the drawing board.
We learned yesterday that there is disagreement between family physicians and the ministry about the document that establishes the obligations of FMGs, the “Transition plan for family medicine groups”. Plan which was to be ratified on April 1st.
The deadline has, however, been extended to April 30.
The majority of FMGs refuse to sign the plan in its current form.
Several points are contentious, especially in governance, while the clinics would no longer be independent and would fall under the hospitals and the CIUSSS
