We haven’t seen such absurd pictures in the World Cup for a long time. The task of the organizers of the competition in Lillehammer was not made easier by the weather, but due to the shortage of officials, the hill was cleared of snow by, among others, World Cup director Sandro Pertile. There were many more problems at the Norwegian facility, Thomas Thurnbichler pointed out everything.

— Sandro Pertile had to work on the preparation of the hill himself… It was an organizational disaster. We arrived at the facility and there were no proper tables in the service booths. There was no proper food for the jumpers, and before the planned start of the competition we had no information about what was really going on – said the coach of the Biało-Czerwoni.
The 33-year-old was very surprised, because Lillehammer is a place that regularly hosts the best jumpers in the world. Now the organization left much to be desired.
“There were minutes to qualifying and there were still volunteers on the landing hill. The raid also left much to be desired. The tracks were not properly profiled, which caused problems in the training series. Lillehammer did not give itself a good rating… – added Thurnbichler.
