Syaifaul Qulub, teenager in Mojokerto, East Java, died as a result of being hit by a firecracker explosion. He died in a sitting position in his bedroom.
Reported detikJatimThe head of the local RT, Imam Gozali, admitted that he heard three explosions in Sudimoro Hamlet at around 13.00 WIB. He then rushed to the source of the explosion which was known to the victim’s house.
“I broke down the door because it was still locked. The victim had died in a sitting position. The explosion was probably from a firecracker,” Imam told reporters at the location, Saturday (9/7/2022).

When the explosion occurred, there were only the victim and his grandmother in the house. The victim’s grandmother was in the kitchen while the victim was in her room.
The explosion seriously injured Syaifaul’s head. The victim’s bedroom was a mess due to the explosion. The explosion also made the living room, which is next to the victim’s room, a mess.
Kutorejo Police Chief AKP Achmad Rochim said his party found several ready-made firecrackers in the victim’s bedroom. Several times the explosion occurred, it is strongly suspected that the victim was assembling firecrackers to celebrate the takbir of Eid al-Adha tonight.
